Ms Weldon began her first business at the age of 16 under the tutelage of her father, publisher Kevin Weldon. She is Founding Director/Artistic Director of the Banyan Tree Creative Services and cecilledesign – with over 20 years’ experience in areas as diverse as branding, strategic and creative management, marketing and business development, systems development, event design and management, interior and industrial design, publishing and production. She has extensive design and production experience in all communication media, and has been responsible for the distinctive ‘look and feel’ of numerous corporate identities for businesses, both nationally and internationally. Ms Weldon has a demonstrated capacity to bring a fresh approach to problem solving and an innovative creative style to the products and imagery she creates.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Dip Ed) and a Graduate Diploma in Linguistics, specialising in Semantics (the study of meaning) and Sociolinguistics (the study of the relationship between language and social and cultural values). Ms Weldon’s particular blend of brand development features an integrated approach which weaves together in a diagnostic process – the strategic (directional), sociolinguistic (meaningful) and creative (visual) levels – to create a powerful and congruent brand experience. This has provided her with the insight to find the right name and associated phrases for numerous companies, books, products and events.

Ms Weldon regularly conducts individual and group sessions outlining the principles of her unique Organic Time Management System® and has recently completed the book Travelling with Time on the subject. Her Organic Business Management System® has been used by numerous businesses to facilitate the startup of a new business or refine and consolidate an existing one.

In addition, Ms Weldon has been Assistant General Manager for the publishing house Kevin Weldon and Associates, Founding Director of Weldon Kids children’s publishing company, Managing Partner of Fidado, a company that provides technology services to leading design studios, Creative Director and General Manager of the sports marketing company Ocean Events International Pty Ltd, Publishing Director for the Couran Cove Environmental Research Trust, Marketing Director for the venture capital firm TiNSHED Corporation, and contracted to the product division of the award-winning industrial design firm Box & Dice Pty Ltd overseeing brand management and business development of the Wovin Wall System®.

Her unusual mix of design, business, marketing and production experience has led her into many creative collaborations, in particular, with architect Jonathan Temple with whom she has created a dynamic hinge system (patent pending) and developed a range of engaging furniture pieces.

More recently she collaborated with entrepreneur Avi Cohen to create and develop a new wholesale bakery business and mobile bakery franchise, The Balkan Bakery™.
